5.0 out of 5 stars The most difficult yet most INSPIRING book I've ever read. March 24 2014

I had the pleasure to meet this inspiring man as a public speaker and listen to his story first hand. He was in the works of writing this book and I was ecstatic to get a copy when it was finished.
Jim's book was the most emotionally difficult read I have EVER endured - having to put it down for weeks at a time because it became too painful to go on. But it was all worth it to learn Jim's memoir. I have not stopped recommending this book to everyone as it may be a difficult hardship to read it's very important we realize that this does happen and to recognize it to stop physical, emotional and sexual abuse towards children.
Please share Jim's story - I believe it to be the most inspiring story of our time.

My daughter was fortunate to have Jim as a speaker at her school. She was so moved by his unbelievably true life story that she wanted to support him and purchase his book. After she finished reading it, she told me to borrow her book and read it.
I must admit there was hesitation on my part knowing that the book was a young boy’s true story full of molestation by family members at a young innocent age, subjection to over-extreme religious family beliefs and the witness to some animal abuse on the farm he grew up on. At a young vulnerable age he was addicted to cigarettes and alcohol, was bullied by the students in his school AND teachers. He eventually ran away from home only to be taken advantage of by the predators that roam the streets. Jim led a crazy life that landed him in jail, hooking up with some dangerous people he met while being locked up, then eventually ending up in rehab after he suffered cardiac arrest at the young age of only 22.
Today, he is the author of this amazing book and is a role model to many children who meet him. This strong, amazing man travels to schools and clubs talking to children, offering advice and hope to others who find themselves in his shoes.
I could not put the book down until I was finished. This is one of those special books that imprint themselves on your heart and soul.
If you want an excellent read about Jim’s true life story, purchase your own copy of ‘A Life Worth Dying For’… you will NOT be disappointed!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Life Worth Dying For
Reviewed in the United States on March 17, 2014This is not really a book that you can 'enjoy'. I found it hard to read about what he had to endure when he was growing up. No one should have to go through such torture. If indeed that which doesn't kill us makes us stronger, then Jim is a Superman! Jim is an amazing man not just because of his resiliency but because of the fact that he could turn something so negative into something so powerfully positive. Two thumbs up Jim!
