This is a form of Justice. It can heal everyone involved in a crime. Many people are hurt as a result of a crime. There are victims: direct victims, witnesses (a witness to violence is also a victim of violence), the families and the communities. The is also the offender and their families that are greatly affected. In order for there to be a complete healing everyone affected must be involved in the process of healing and restoring.
Being put in prison is revenge mentality for the victim and only exacerbates the issues for the offender. It is Jim's belief that this more diffecult approach to dealing with crime will bring more resolve than incarceration will ever bring. It is also a much more financial cost affective way to deal with crime.
